Clients participate in groups, individual therapy, family therapy, and other activities, like support groups, for about 5-6 hours per day. Most clients stay in PHP for 2-3 weeks before transitioning into a lower level of care.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at outpatient LA has a lower time commitment than our PHP. Because of this, IOP can be an ideal choice for those who need to balance obligations like work or childcare with treatment and are ready to do so. It is possible to start treatment at Outpatient LA with IOP, but it is often used as part of a step-down approach for those who have already finished PHP.
Aftercare Planning
Before your loved one is done with treatment at Outpatient LA, we will help them make a custom aftercare plan. The aftercare planning process may involve participation in a standard outpatient program (which has a lower time commitment than IOP), job and education planning, referrals to local providers, like therapists, or something else.
